A new feature in Dynamics 365 called Relationship Insights uses artificial intelligence to mine the data shared by Dynamics 365 and Office 365. Relationship Insights looks for clues to customer need and action items for sellers or service users. You’ll be impressed to see the practical application of Artificial Intelligence within Outlook accelerating the sales process using Dynamics 365. (Click on images to enlarge)
First of all, Outlook automatically highlighted a sentence in the email that seemingly requests a customer call or meeting.
Clicking on the highlighted text, a dialog box opens suggesting I engage with this prospect regarding a Software Development Kit. The box suggests the first open Outlook appointment on the following day. I can quickly schedule a place and time for a meeting and send the invitation to my prospect without leaving Outlook email. This saves me several steps and speeds up the sales process.
Clicking on the Dynamics 365 link, I can quickly add this prospect to Dynamics CRM as a Lead or Contact, and sync the email to the Lead or Contact form.
Server-side synchronization pushes the data from Outlook and quickly creates the Lead record in Dynamics 365. This newer form of synchronization is much more reliable and stable than the old Outlook client and add-in. Problems with Outlook slowing down or crashing, a source of frustration, should be all but eliminated.
The real beauty of this is that it all works behind the scenes. The user doesn’t need to know exactly why or how it works. But for the most part they don’t care anyway. They just want to get their work done and sell more.
